Glad you are here, Reader.
I hope that, in this space, you will see much Brokenness, but also much Beauty. And that you will find Hope as you walk through your own valleys, whatever they may be.
I tell stories here, true stories about me and people whose lives intersect with mine. I never want to lecture or preach or talk down to. Because we, all of us, are weak and ever-battling one thing or another, and none of us really have much of anything figured out. But when we share our stories, our lives, in words – written or spoken, Peace is more likely to meet us here, I think.
Too, I share others’ words, words that – while not my own – have resonated deep down, and I hope will resonate with you somehow, someway.
You can expect to read words here on living and dying, loving and failing to love well, finding Beauty in ourselves and in the world, moving about in community, real-life every-day battles, thoughts on childhood, parenthood, and aging, and always, ponderings on the pursuit of Peace and the lifting of our eyes to the Mountaintops.
While I hope you can get to know me well as you read my posts, a few things that make me, me: I’m a rural-living, country-loving girl, married to my junior high sweetheart for close to two decades now, with four little ones on earth and three in heaven. To find Joy in the midst of my battles, I cut flowers and bake chocolate chip cookies, play my cello and thrift-store shop. I desire to be a life-long learner, always soft and moldable, ever-responsive to the Potter. And I really dislike crinkled paper.

May you know Rest and Peace and Hope and Beauty here, and always.
